For physiotherapists
A certified strength coach in the CBD you can refer discharged patients to.
NSCA-Certified Personal Trainer. Current CPR/AED certification. Registered with Sport Singapore's National Registry of Exercise Professionals.
The NSCA certification is built on exercise science — bioenergetics, biomechanics and programme design — rather than general fitness instruction. It's the personal training certification from the body behind the CSCS.
My scope, and where it stops
I am a certified personal trainer. I am not a physiotherapist and not a healthcare provider. I do not diagnose, treat injuries, or provide rehabilitation.
I take on your patient only after you have discharged them or cleared them for general exercise. I work strictly within the parameters you set — movements to avoid, load ceilings, ranges to respect — and I do not change them without speaking to you first.
If a patient reports pain, a new symptom, or loss of range, I stop the relevant work and refer them back to you the same day.
How I work with your clearance
Intake captures injury history, surgical history, and whatever clearance notes or parameters you provide.
Programming is built around your constraints, not adapted around them afterwards.
Progression is paced to the timeline you set. I'd rather be slow and still have your confidence.
You'll hear from me
With the patient's consent, I send you a written progress note at whatever interval you prefer — every four to six weeks, or on request. It covers what we're training, current loads, how they're responding, and anything that concerns me.
If something concerns me, you hear about it that week. Not at the next review.
You set the reporting cadence and you set the threshold for what counts as a flag.
| I handle | I don't |
|---|---|
| Progressive strength and conditioning | Acute injury or pain |
| General conditioning and fat loss | Diagnosis of any kind |
| IPPT preparation | Manual therapy |
| Documented load progression | Anything before your clearance |
| Return-to-loading after discharge | Modifying your plan without asking |
Sessions take place at Construct Fitness, Telok Ayer — walkable from Telok Ayer and Tanjong Pagar MRT. Convenient for patients working in the CBD, Maxwell, Raffles Place or Tanjong Pagar.
